So, I went with the black tape with white lettering and white hoods. I love my Rival group, so I'm happy to advertise for SRAM on my tape. Tape is cushioned, but not too much. With gloves, it's plenty for a long ride. The lettering didn't last but a few hundred miles where my hands rest when in the hoods. Not that big a deal, but be aware that the lettering isn't on there too permanently. The 3M adhesive is nice to work with and the finished bar w/ this tape is plush!!! The only thing was the white frog logo and the white lettering. That made me think a bit to ensure that was visible the entire length of the bar. If you don't wrap around the hoods properly, you could end up covering up the frog and lettering on the top half of the bar. With Cinelli tape, I always am consious with tape overlap, if you're not careful there's not enough tape to finish. Not so with the Sram tape. I wrapped with the overlap I wanted and there was tape to spare, I actually cut off a bit to finish. The end caps provided are pretty cool too.Great product. I'm getting more for my other bikes. |
