Great pedals for use on BMX or MTB. I personally put them on my mtb and after trying them out, a few friends purchased them as well. A couple point to make, these are plastic, not metal. I went out of my way to get plastic pedals because if you ever crash or slip off your pedals (which is common in bmx when doing stunts or in trail riding while mtbing) plastic pedals tend to cut up your leg less Although they are plastic, they are very hardy and durable. Also, some pictures show it with a red circle on the outside of the pedal (the spindle cover); it comes with both black and red so you can pick if you want the pedal all black or with red cover. Another thing to note, these pedals will require a pedal wrench for install. These have held up extremely well. I used them to replace the stock pedals on a Bikes Direct single speed. I take pretty good care of my whip, so I can't comment on using them for extreme park riding. However, I love having the full platforms on a road bike. They work great. I've never had pedal strike. I do use large footstraps, and they were compatible with these no problem. |
